Streaming video content online still hasn’t reached saturation point. It continues to grow year on year. According to a study undertaken by Wywowl in 2017, 63% of businesses were using video as a marketing tools. By the start of 2018, that had risen to 81%. Now in 2019, the number has increased again to 87% and marketers report that video gives them a good return on investment, up from 78% 12 months ago. These figures make a strong argument for incorporating video marketing into your SEO & Marketing Strategy in 2019.

Vertical Video is an interesting concept and a new trend that could be worth considering. Most people use their mobile phones in the vertical position, so it makes no sense to expect them to turn their phone to view horizontal videos. If video is truly optimised for mobile users, then it should be delivered in a vertical format. It may be some time before this new trend takes hold, but for now perhaps most people are so used to viewing videos horizontally, they will continue to do so until more vertical videos filter into the web space.
